Justin Trudeau was sworn in as prime minister of Canada on November 4, 2015. Countries listed by name in the first column are those with which Trudeau has had a stand-alone, separate bilateral visit or a collective meeting or an onsite bilateral meeting at a meeting of a plurilateral institution with a small membership, i.e., the G7/8, G20, NATO, APEC or the Trans-Pacific Partnership Leaders' Summit. It includes onsite bilateral meetings but not the collective meeting of an institution with a larger membership, i.e., the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, la Francophonie, World Economic Forum, Nuclear Security Summit and the broadly multilateral United Nations (in New York, or the 21st Conference of the Parties in Paris). Collective encounters at a large membership meeting are excluded on the grounds that there was probably no direct face-to-face interaction between Trudeau and all the leaders at the table there. Other summits include the TPP Leaders' Summit, World Economic Forum and the Nuclear Security Summit. Some leaders received one visit each.
